“The Central Park development is very popular, although now quite large, but Alnwick View is a select little cul-de-sac on the fringe, set back from Otley Road. “Firstly, I have really enjoyed living at 12 Alnwick View. This house stood out a mile from the other properties that I viewed because of the build quality, the modern and useful design and the area. The location within the development is the best in my opinion. It’s a quiet cul-de-sac with no thru traffic which makes the street very quiet and peaceful. You are literally a stone’s throw away from all you could want; excellent cafés and restaurants, pubs, shops and great schools. Getting to Leeds or to The Dales is equally easy whether you’re using public transport or your own car, the bus stop is 5 minutes away. Talking of cars, there is a private parking space and you can also park outside the house (this is a real bonus not having to fight for parking). I have some good friends and neighbours in the street who always look out for each other but don’t encroach on your privacy. Everyone in the street really looks after their houses so you feel really proud of where you live.

Back to the house, I find the design and layout to be excellent and flexible and having 3 bathrooms is a real bonus. The view from the main bedroom towards Leeds is fantastic. The house stays cool in summer and is nice and warm in winter. I have kept on top of maintaining the property, repairing and adding where I can so there is very little to do. If I were to make one change, I would add a door from the hallway to the garage. I know some of my neighbours have done this at a very reasonable cost – I just haven’t had time. Overall, I’ll be sad to sell the house but I know whoever owns it next will love the house and the area as much as I have.”

From the centre of Headingley by the Headingley Central (former Arndale) shopping centre, proceed north out of Leeds on the A660 Otley Road towards Far Headingley and West Park. Continue through the traffic lights at Shaw Lane and continue past Cottage Road and the cinema, past The Three Horseshoes public house and St Chad’s Church (on the left) and continue past the filling station and mini-market. Proceed through the pedestrian lights at Churchwood Avenue and at the next set of traffic lights turn left into Thornbury Avenue. Take the first left into Alnwick View and follow the road around to the right into the cul-de-sac where this property can be found on the right-hand side.
