“I chose this property over any others I viewed because the key rooms had recently been renovated and therefore it was ready to move into, right away. I thought it represented good value, especially as the kitchen was very modern. I had rented in the area for a number of years and didn’t want to move away when buying as the area is relatively close to the city centre for work but without the city centre feel.

There are great amenities nearby (it’s a 5 minute walk to the shops, a cinema, gyms, etc and there are a couple of schools around the corner), and it is a nice area for young professionals and families. In the last few years we’ve seen a number of new restaurants and bars appear on Kirkstall Road – the area is definitely ‘up and coming’! The neighbours are great, many have lived there for decades. Every year there’s a street party. There’s a real community spirit.

Since I’ve owned the house, I’ve added a large shed/garage in the rear garden, improved the ventilation in the loft and the bathroom, and I’ve redecorated some of the rooms. I created a dedicated office, which was perfect for me to work from home!”

From the junction of the A65 Kirkstall Road, Abbey Road and Kirkstall Lane by Morrisons and the Kirkstall Sports Centre proceed east along the A65 towards Leeds. After approximately a quarter of a mile turn left opposite the Riverside Filling Station/Spar Minimarket into Woodside Place. As you approach the Leeds Motor Company on the right, turn left into Woodside View. Take the next left into Burley Wood Crescent and as you approach the crescent turn right where No.151 can be found on the right-hand side.
