The sellers told us:
“This was the first house that we bought together, after meeting at university. When we were looking to buy our first home we immediately fell in love with this property – it was just completely different to everything else that we’d looked at! Both inside and out, the house was full of character but also contemporarily decorated. Our favourite room in the house is probably the kitchen, which is so light and airy and perfect for entertaining. We’ve loved living close to Headingley for the past five years, being able to walk to Salvos and the other restaurants, pubs and bars, and also to be within walking distance of a day out at the cricket. It’s been really convenient for us as well, for getting into the city centre for work or socialising with convenient bus and train connections close by. We have so many happy memories from our time here – not least this being our first home when we got married. In a way we’ll be sad to leave, as we look for a house for the next stage of our lives. But we’re sure that someone else will love it as much as we do!”
Michael Moore, a Director at Moores, says:
“St Ann’s Grange is a grand old building, and this converted Coach House is unique within what is now a block of luxury flats. The house is unusual, in that the front faces away from the road, the original grounds extending across what is now a residential housing estate. The Coach House sits at the rear of the main house, close to St Ann’s Lane, which presumably existed when the house was first built in the mid-19th century. We believe The Coach House has been extended a couple of times, hence the unusual roof arrangement – which has recently been renewed as you can see from the roadside! We’ve sold a number of converted coach houses in Headingley, but this has to be the most unique in both its layout and leasehold tenure. This is a rare opportunity for someone!”
From the centre of Headingley proceed along North Lane and at the traffic lights at Cardigan Road continue straight across onto Kirkstall Lane. Continue past the famous Headingley Cricket Ground and at the next set of traffic lights turn left onto St Ann’s Lane. This property can be found on the left-hand side directly opposite St Ann’s Close. You can park in St Ann’s Grange car park or on St Ann’s Close and walk across St Ann’s Lane to view the property.A brief history of this area
