“The house was a good size compared to others we viewed in the same price bracket in the location, and the spacious garden was a big draw to us together with the fact the house had a garage and boarded attic for extra storage was a bonus. The house benefits from natural light and the garden gets the sun throughout the day. When looking for our ideal house we wanted to live in an area that felt like a quiet street on the outskirts of Leeds but not too far from the city. As soon as you drive up the street you can sense that it is a safe, quiet and friendly neighbourhood. This was our first home and has given us so many happy memories. Our neighbours are nice and friendly: we have become very good friends and I have no doubt they will welcome the new homeowners with a housewarming gift like they did with us. There is a bus stop 2 minutes down the road, a 5-10 minute walk gets you to Headingley train station, Kirkstall Abbey is a 10 minute walk, Headingley centre is 10-20 minute walk and Morrisions/Kirkstall retail park is a 5 minute drive. We have decorated every room, replaced all carpets (apart from the spare room), new flooring in the kitchen, new fencing in the garden, had a wood burning stove installed, had two bedroom walls lined and plastered the cupboard under the stairs. We have also replaced most of the light switches with modern fittings. We have planning permission for a single storey extension to the rear of the property.”
