The seller told us:

“I moved into this house when I was a little girl. My parents moved here from York during the war and my mother fell in love with the views across Beckett Park – I remember her delight when she first saw the open aspect after we turned off St Chad’s Drive and into Batcliffe Drive. As an adult I co-ordinated the planting of the spring bulbs you see dotted around the trees and verges on the park; I wrote to all my neighbours asking for a small contribution towards a ‘bulb fund’!
