The sellers told us:
“This was our first home and the only property we viewed – we fell in love with its character, quiet location, the well-proportioned rooms and sense of light. The good sized garden was also a plus point. The location is a good combination – green spaces and a secluded spot, but within walking distance of Leeds city centre (35 minutes) and Headingley (10 minutes), so it’s very convenient. It’s also walking distance (20 mins) to Beckett Park and Kirkstall Abbey (20 mins) and we spend a lot of time at both with the kids. This is a lovely street – during the current pandemic, we’ve got to know each other and done things like the May Bank Holiday street party. Our neighbours on either side are really nice, we get on well with them and we will be very sad to say goodbye. We have improved the front and back gardens with lots of planting, adding the decking and the seating area in the back corner. During good weather, it’s lovely to have the patio doors open or eat outside, and the kids spend all day playing on the lawn.”
Charlie Priestley, the Negotiator at Moores handling this sale says:
“Stanmore Crescent is a short walk from the Headingley train station, providing excellent access into and out of Leeds, whether commuting for work or spending a Sunday afternoon in town doing some shopping and treating yourself to a drink or two! The shops in Headingley are a 20 minute walk away, along with all the bars and restaurants Headingley has to offer. The cricket and rugby ground are 5 minutes away for those who like sporting events, and nearby Kirkstall Lane and Queenswood Drive offer excellent bus services into town and to surrounding areas.”
From the centre of Headingley by the Headingley Central Shopping Centre on the A660 Otley Road, proceed along North Lane and through the traffic lights at Cardigan Road onto Kirkstall Lane. Continue past the cricket ground (on your left) and past the doctors surgery, dentist and vets and at the traffic lights with Queenswood Drive and St Ann’s Lane turn left onto St Ann’s Lane taking the next left turn into St Anne’s Drive (please note the different spellings). Take the second on the right into Stanmore Crescent. At the T-junction turn right into the cul-de-sac and No.47 can be found on the left-hand side.
