The seller told us:

“I bought the house due to it being an oasis in the middle of LS6, close to shops and cafés, but also as an escape to a quiet leafy garden – it’s hard to believe you’re in the middle of a city. You can walk into town through the Uni, walk into Headingley or Waitrose along the ridge or catch a bus from the bottom of the road – there’s even a yoga class round the corner! I shared the house with friends initially but more recently lived downstairs whilst renting out the flat above; there’s a connecting door between the flats which can be locked or unlocked, depending on whether you want to share. Over a 25 year period I’ve replaced windows, had the basement damp-proofed, installed insulation plus had a new roof a few years ago. Three chimneys are lined for real fires – a real treat in winter! The neighbourhood association provides a good connection, with regular newsletters and picnics in Dagmar, our local community garden. Being a conservation area I’ve had hedgehogs, frogs, wrens, jays, ducks, foxes and a woodpecker in the garden, to name a few. I’ll really miss this place, especially the large rooms and windows. I’m only moving as it’s now too big for me these days.”
