The sellers told us:
“We’re very sad to be leaving Headingley, to take up new jobs in the northeast. We’d take the house (and neighbours!) with us if we could. Since moving here in 2015 we’ve converted the loft to create a master bedroom and en suite, and extended the ground floor to create a large kitchen/diner with utility room, as well as redecorating and reflooring the entire house. Headingley’s been a great place to live, and start a family, with excellent facilities close by. There are local walks through the park and woodland and cricket and rugby stadium is 5 minutes’ walk away – easy walking distance for an evening watching Yorkshire cricket in the summer and Leeds Rhinos in the winter. Within 10-15 minutes’ walk is a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, including a number of independents, and the monthly farmers’ market. Commuting from the house was easy given the 5 regular bus routes within 10 minutes’ walk and 2 train stations within 15 minutes’ walk. Despite being so close to the ‘action’, the crescent is peaceful and quiet as it’s set back from the main roads. Our immediate neighbours are all owner-occupiers who have been very welcoming and friendly since we arrived. We hope that whoever buys our home enjoys living here as much as we have.”
Rachel Abbott, the Negotiator at Moores looking after this sale, says:
“Our clients bought the house from another client of ours back in December 2015. They’ve really transformed the house and created a completely different style of living from the original; the dining kitchen is a fabulous room which would be super for dinner parties. There’s a breakfast bar for early starts/quick getaways, but plenty of room for dining table and chairs as well as easy chairs for chilling out. The utility room leaves more space in the kitchen area for cupboards and storage – which our clients have taken full advantage of. The master bedroom is huge, and has a great outlook at the rear over Headingley and on towards Adel and Alwoodley. As our clients are relocating, there’s no chain associated with this sale.”
From the centre of Headingley by the Arndale Centre/Headingley Central on the A660 Otley Road, proceed north along the A660 and turn left at the traffic lights at Shaw Lane into St Anne’s Road. Take the first right into Becketts Park Drive and immediately left into Becketts Park Road. At the T-junction turn left into Becketts Park Crescent and this property can be found on the right-hand side.A brief history of this area
