“We’re very sad to be leaving Headingley, to take up new jobs in the northeast. We’d take the house (and neighbours!) with us if we could. Since moving here in 2015 we’ve converted the loft to create a master bedroom and en suite, and extended the ground floor to create a large kitchen/diner with utility room, as well as redecorating and reflooring the entire house. Headingley’s been a great place to live, and start a family, with excellent facilities close by. There are local walks through the park and woodland and cricket and rugby stadium is 5 minutes’ walk away – easy walking distance for an evening watching Yorkshire cricket in the summer and Leeds Rhinos in the winter. Within 10-15 minutes’ walk is a wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, including a number of independents, and the monthly farmers’ market. Commuting from the house was easy given the 5 regular bus routes within 10 minutes’ walk and 2 train stations within 15 minutes’ walk. Despite being so close to the ‘action’, the crescent is peaceful and quiet as it’s set back from the main roads. Our immediate neighbours are all owner-occupiers who have been very welcoming and friendly since we arrived. We hope that whoever buys our home enjoys living here as much as we have.”
