The seller told us:

“My parents moved into the house in December 1979 (just in time for the first of many happy Christmases with family and friends) and for them a detached house on a leafy street in Beckett Park was a dream come true; they wanted a family house for life, and it was just that. Shops, library, cinema and cricket ground all no more than 10 minutes walk away, and the park is 5 minutes away where the blossom trees in the spring and the millions of leaves in the autumn bring back some really fond memories. These were the main reasons they chose the area. For me, in later life, to be able to park outside on a resident pass for the cricket and rugby was very handy! It’s residents’ permit parking so no other cars are allowed; it remains quiet with little through traffic. The back garden is south facing (a sun trap) and our family have spent lots of days in the garden watching the grandchildren play, or just relaxing with a beer – memories I will always cherish. Over the years there have been some lovely neighbours and now is no different – next door, ‘over the road’ and ‘down the street’, everyone is very kind and friendly.”
