Michael Moore, a Director at Moores says:

“This was a lovely conversion back in 2005 of a former convent into a variety of very individual flats. The facade was carefully retained and restored, ensuring the building lost none of its appeal when viewed from a distance. These gardens were part of a leisure park in the early 1800’s, designed to provide walks for the affluent families who had moved out of the smog-ridden city centre of Leeds into the clean air of Headingley Hill. The gardens were extensively planted, including some rare varieties of trees and shrubs, some of which I am told have survived in the various gardens of the buildings which now occupy the site.”

Michael Davies, the Director at Moores looking after this sale, says:

“This flat is quite spacious and well position with the use of the patio to the front. And the location could hardly be more convenient, with the train station and a supermarket 5 minutes away, and the centre of Headingley less than 10 minutes away. The flats are set well back from Cardigan Road, therefore traffic and pedestrian noise is barely noticeable, even with the French windows open. Offered with vacant possession and no upward chain, a buyer could move in here very quickly – or at least as quickly as lawyers and lenders can undertake the conveyancing and make a mortgage offer!”

From the centre of Headingley at the junction with the A660 Otley Road and North Lane, proceed along North Lane and at the next set of lights after the shops, turn left into Cardigan Road. Proceed through the next set of lights and follow the road around the right-hand bend (Sparrow Park is on your right) and continue for a further 150m or so where Oakhurst can be found on the left, just before the Bear Pit Monument. Please park on Cardigan Road when attending a viewing. The gate code can only be issued to residents. There is a pedestrian gate by the top entrance.
