Kristy Marsden, one of Moores Negotiators, says:
“We recently sold a smaller semi across the road from this house. I’d commented on that one that the streets off Moor Road are some of the most attractive and popular in Headingley: that proved to be the case with lots of enquiries and viewings. Being cul-de-sacs, these roads don’t carry much traffic with the only cars and pedestrians being those of neighbours and visitors. The Otley Road shops and restaurants in both Headingley and Far Headingley are less than a 10 minute walk away, and public transport into Leeds is very convenient. Off one of the adjoining streets are the ancient ‘donkey steps’ which take you into Meanwood Park – these were originally used by the monks at Kirkstall Abbey, so I’m led to believe.”
From the centre of Headingley proceed northwest along the A660 Otley Road, through the traffic lights at Shaw Lane/St Anne’s Road and take the second right into Cottage Road by the New Inn pub and Georgios Italian restaurant. Proceed past the Cottage Road Cinema and at the top of the road turn right into Moor Road. Just before the junction with Shaw Lane/Monk Bridge Road, Moor Park Villas can be found on the right-hand side.A brief history of this area
