It is only a week until Meanwood Festival gets underway (Saturday 19th May) which has been co-ordinated by the Meanwood Valley Partnership. There are more than 60 events taking place across Meanwood over the 10 days of the Festival; events include those for kids, for health, music, heritage, food and drink, arts and entertainment.  For a full list please visit .

The Festival culminates on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th May with the Family Fun Day which is free to attend. It starts at 12noon (12pm – 4pm) at the cricket pitch on Parkside Road next to the Myrtle Tavern. I am particularly excited about the Fun Day, as I am one of the event organisers, along with other volunteers from the Meanwood Valley Partnership.  There are over 60 craft, community, food and retail stalls, beer tents, craft ale, a gin stall, a Pimms stall, a cake marquee with homemade cakes and then lots for children! There will be Diddi Dennis, which is a ride on fire engine, Lion Learners petting zoo, falconry owl display, donkey rides and lots more! Live music will be on during the day, as well as from 4pm when there is a mini music festival until 7pm.

This is our fourth year supporting Meanwood Valley Partnership and their Festival and Fun Day. We hope to see you at the Fun Day, but if not, enjoy the Festival!
