In addition to managing the maintenance and repairs for the 500 or so properties we manage on behalf of landlord clients across North Leeds, our maintenance team, comprising of Gemma, Oneeka and Luke, also project manage the refurbishment of properties.

After receiving advice from our Rentals Manager, Angie, and Property Inspector, Luke, the landlord at Flat 4, 25 Cardigan Road decided to give a new lease of life to his property. Not only would it create a modernised space for tenants, refurbishing a property can be a great opportunity to receive a return on investment.

In this case, the landlord decided to fit a new kitchen, as well as redecorate and re-floor the entire flat.

Our maintenance team got to work in June to find the best value quote, ahead of  works commencing on 10th August. The contractors selected by Gemma and Oneeka have worked with Moores for between 2 to 13 years and included:

Kitchen – S A Joinery & Maintenance

Decorating – Neil Johnson Decorators

Flooring – Burley Road Carpets

Electrics – AA Electrical

Handyman Works – French Connect

Cleaning – Home Clean Home

Gemma worked with S A Joinery & Maintenance on redesigning a kitchen to compliment the open-plan area, providing extra cupboard storage and and an extractor fan. Grey furnishings and white tiles then gave a modern, sleek finish to a welcoming kitchen.

The whole refurbishment was completed in four and a half weeks, in time for the property to be put on the market on Monday 14th September!
