Covid-19: An Update From Moores

At Moores, the health and wellbeing of our staff and of our sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants is of paramount importance.

We have been monitoring the Government’s website closely for advice for small businesses throughout the Covid-19 outbreak and will continue to do so on a daily basis, in addition to taking advice from NAEA and ARLA Propertymark who we are affiliated to.

Following the Government’s latest COBRA meeting (held on Monday 16th March), Moores will continue to provide the same professional and efficient 7 day service to our sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants but do so by implementing additional precautionary measures.  We are still available 7 days a week by phone and by email, will continue to remain open to the public 6 days a week and will continue to offer viewing and valuation appointments whilst we can.

The entire team at Moores supports the NHS’s guidance on hand washing, which is:

Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds using soap and water or a hand sanitiser when you:

  • Get home or into work
  • Blow your nose, sneeze or cough
  • Eat or handle food

 

Our staff will also wash their hands when they leave and return from appointments and they carry hand sanitiser and disposable gloves for their personal use.

We now have a designated area where our contractors can wash their hands, in accordance to the NHS guidance, and will be required to wash their hands when they enter our office before speaking to our team or collect/return keys.

Since yesterday’s COBRA meeting, as an office we are supporting social distancing, which means keeping a 2 metre distance between individuals.  This applies to our staff, contractors and to the public who visit our office.  We thank everyone in advance for adhering to this.

The professional cleaners who we employ to clean our office have advised we undertake extra cleaning/sanitising measures on our bi-daily office cleans.  These measures are now in place.  Our staff also have access to anti-bacterial wipes to wipe down their desks, laptops and phones on a regular basis and our current way of working means that each member of staff has their own laptop, desk phone and mobile and will not be required to share with others.

We politely ask that you inform us if you have felt unwell, developed a fever, have a new cough, have been into contact with someone affected by the Coronavirus or have recently returned from abroad before you visit our office, allow us to visit your property or arrange an appointment with us.

Due to a decline in demand from people visiting the office on a Sunday the office will be closed Sundays on a temporary basis. We are still fully operational on Sundays by phone and for undertaking viewings.

We continue to monitor the advice from the Government and will update our clients and customers again when necessary.
