The Cardigan Triangle, as it’s affectionately known, is a small backwater just to the west of Cardigan Road, just above Cardigan Lane, south of St. Michael’s Lane and east of the railway line that runs through the cutting from Headingley to the New Burley train station. This small neighbourhood has a wonderful community spirit, with a very active social network, and for many years we have had ‘buyers on our books’ waiting for houses to come to market within the areas rather select number of cobbled streets. It even has its own park, known locally as Sparrow’s Park and the partial remains of Leeds Zoological and Botanical gardens are still visible in places.
The resident’s various website and Facebook pages will no doubt provide you with the very reasons the area has remained so popular with young professionals and families, although the proximity to the train station (10 mins into Leeds), schools, Co-Op and the fact you can walk into Headingley in a matter of minutes has much to do with its popularity.
